Cookies and local storage

The website does not set any cookies itself and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. In the browser’s local storage it only remembers the selected language (entry “cl_lang_pref”, values “de” or “en”, kept until you clear your browser data). This entry is strictly necessary for the language version you expressly requested; no consent is required for it (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). The fonts are hosted on our own server.

The only exception is the voluntary “Notify me” form: only when it is clicked does the website load the script of our mailing service MailerLite, which according to MailerLite may set its own cookies needed for the form to work. Nothing from MailerLite is loaded when you simply visit the page.

You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. If we use services that require consent in the future, we will ask for it first.

ChessLynx app

The app does not use cookies. The data it stores on the device and when it is synchronised with the parent account are described in the Privacy Policy, Sections 3 to 5.
